Taimatsu Matsuri – Mt. Daisen, Japan

Taimatsu Matsuri is a festival held on Mt. Daisen in Tottori Prefecture. Traditionally a Shinto ritual held in honor of the mountain’s deities, participants hold bamboo torches as they march down the mountain from Ogamiyama shrine to the bonfires awaiting them below.
